So Arches stopped making the size of black paper I'd been using and I had no idea how lucky I was because I found something new...And I'm so happy with the results. I've started painting on wood panels.  They first must be primed with an acrylic ground and that too provided an oppurtunity to do something new.  I began adding pigment to transparent watercolor ground creating a film of color through which one may still appreciate the grain of the wood adding such wholesome, countryside quality to the paintings.  I did these blue forget me nots last night. I'm so happy with them.

It feels so good to look at a painting you've completed and really be pleased.
